MALICIOUS INJURIES, 2022-03100170, 2100 block of Washington Boulevard. At around 3:34 p.m. on March 10, police were dispatched to report a fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined that the victim and suspect were on a bus when they had a verbal argument. The argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which the suspect brandished a knife and punched the victim. The victim then deployed pepper spray. The victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by medics. Marvin Mullins, 46, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.
ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN, 2022-03100013 Block 600 of N. Glebe Rd. At around 1 a.m. on March 10, police were dispatched to report a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was alerted to a noise and observed the unknown male suspect attempt to open his window. The suspect then fled on foot. The suspect is described as a man of unknown race with dark hair, wearing a black coat, blue jeans and white sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
